We’re Back, Sorta – NYCFC v Montreal Edition

NYCFC, has been looking better and better for the past few months under the tutelage of Dome Torrent.

Juries still out on #DOMEOUT, however the formations and tactics have reflected to work on the current players, as well as enforce his preferred play style.

Quick Glance – Montreal

No longer focused on playing in the back, this allows for the wing backs to have more creativity up front, which is what allowed for the first goal for Maxi Moralez as well as the second goal, with Ismael Tajouri-Shradi (Now affectionately called #HardBodyShradi from here on out.)

3 – 4 – 3 is here to stay, and that’s a good thing.

Future Clashes

The next game against LA Galaxy is another test that we have to mindful of. However, most top teams have been defeated with relative ease, including a strong DC United and Montreal Impact (Even without Ignacio Piatti).

LA Galaxy can attack down the wings with relative ease as well as create long shots with the strength of Zlatan. The fortitude of the Midfield and Defenders will be put to the test here (more on a later post). If we get to see Miti/Sands/Mata back in the mix, we’ll have a good chance against them with a full/recovered squad.
